    Shekhar Purohit – Managing Director

    Shekhar is a seasoned Executive and Management Consultant with extensive global experience in the United States, Europe, Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia. During his career, he has contributed to a diverse set of organizations, ranging from Fortune 50 firms to venture-backed start-ups in a variety of industries such as media and entertainment, manufacturing, higher education, commercial & investment banking, private equity & venture capital, high technology, and energy amongst others. His role at these organizations specialized in board and corporate governance, executive coaching, global strategy development, global rewards, performance management systems, and organization development.

    Prior to starting his own consulting firm, Shekhar was the Co-Founder and CEO of Talentnext.com, the world’s largest on-line casting and talent management platform for aspiring talent, and the CEO of Bollyverse, LLC, the world’s first vertically integrated online media and entertainment company serving the diverse range of lifestyle interests of the Indian diaspora.

    Earlier in his career, he was the Managing Director of India for Lionsgate Entertainment. Shekhar was also the Managing Director and head of the San Francisco office at Pearl Meyer & Partners, a leading corporate governance and executive compensation consulting firm and held several leadership positions at Hewitt Associates (now Aon Hewitt), including the Global Head of Compensation Consulting and the Asia Pacific Practice Leader.

    Shekhar has also been a Board of Director and management advisor to global clients such as Aditya Birla Group, Aditya Birla Group, Bharti Enterprises, Cairn Plc, Cisco (Asia), CIBC World Markets, Huawei (China), Crompton Greaves, Microsoft (Asia), IBM, Lionsgate Entertainment, Loral Space and Communications, HCL Technologies, Igate, Goldman Sachs, ICICI Bank, Landmark Holdings, Leap Wireless, JP Morgan, McKinsey & Co., MHR Fund Management, NOL, Oberoi Constructions, Reliance Industries, Rockwell Collins, SABIC, Tech Mahindra, and Williams Group, to name a few. He holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and Economics from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago. Additionally, Shekhar occasionally guest lectures at an Executive Education course at the Rock Center for Corporate Governance at the Stanford University.

    Shekhar strongly believes in contributing back to society. He has co-founded and acted as a Vice President for a non-profit educational organization in Boston, which focuses on providing HIV/AIDS education for developing countries. He is active in various charities that focus on women education and liberation in his hometown Jodhpur, Rajasthan. In the spare time, Shekhar is an avid sportsman and enjoys competitive golf, basketball, and tennis.
